2017 October - Board of Directors Meeting Minutes 📝

Attending:  Tara Gomez, Kate Griffith, Stephen Janes (call-in), Matt Murphy, and Charles Fairbanks

Matt Murphy, President, called the meeting to order and asked for the September Board Meeting Notes to be reviewed.  The September Meeting Notes were approved as read. 

 Stacie Jacob reported on the status us the Executive Director search which has been culled from 24 candidates to 12 candidates.  The next interviews will shorten this list to 6 candidates.  And, in two weeks there will be from 2-4 final candidates.  The final candidate is to be presented to the Board in November. 

 Matt Murphy asked the Board to review the 2018 Dues Increase of 30% with the incentive for early payment (deadline for the incentive, November 30th) at 25%.  All agreed on this approach and 2018 Dues Invoices will be sent out via email beginning Monday, October 30th and ending by Tuesday, October 31st.  

Matt Murphy provided a quick review of the September Financials which did not contain any unusual expenses or line items.  The reports did reflect the limited funds on which to operate the association during the 3rd quarter of the fiscal year.

There was no Financial Committee update to be discussed.

The Santa Barbara Foundation in partnership with DRI has collected $27,000 in donations to be used to help the victims of the California Wildfire. 

There being no new business, the meeting was adjourned.
