Spray Days
New regulations, approved in 2024 and effective February 24, 2025, enable the implementation of SprayDays California, a statewide restricted material pesticide application notification system developed by DPR. The SprayDays system will provide the public with information about upcoming restricted material pesticide applications in production agriculture. In addition, the new regulations require that Notices of Intent (NOIs) for agricultural restricted material pesticide applications be submitted electronically through CalAgPermits.
DPR will be implementing the SprayDays notification system in late March 2025, however the statewide notification regulations will be effective February 24. Starting February 24, Notices of Intent for all agricultural applications of restricted materials must be submitted electronically via CalAgPermits. NOIs for soil fumigations must be submitted at least 48 hours in advance. NOIs for other agricultural-restricted material pesticide applications must be submitted at least 24 hours in advance. Click here for the information sheet.
